Even the bad weather didn’t stop us! Yesterday you could find us at Markets on Jiřák, where the Clothing Bank had its stand. People came to see us, brought clothes they no longer wear – and some even chose something new for their wardrobe. There was a lot of interest in our stand, which made us very happy.
We managed to collect an amazing 250 kg of clothes and raised a beautiful 12 470 CZK by selling them. This amount will go to help single mothers’ families within the framework of the program in our sister organization, the Single Mothers’ Club – specifically to pay for summer camps for children, because the holidays are approaching and the requests for help are increasing.
A big thank you to Jiřího z Poděbrad Elementary School and Kup si vohoz who contributed their clothing collection – we greatly appreciate their support.
We are also very grateful to the Prague 3 municipality for their support – and since the event was so well received, we would like to repeat it next month. We hope that this time the weather will be a little bit nicer. 💛
