Clothing bank launches new project OblečBrno.cz

We give clothes a new story and help where it’s needed

The Clothing Bank is excited to announce the launch of our second biggest project, Dress Brno, which builds on the successful Dress Prague concept. The goal is to connect residents, businesses, the city, and non-profits to make it easier to donate, recycle, and distribute used clothes in Brno and the surrounding area.

What the project offers

an overview of collection points—containers, second-hand shops, and recycling projects in Brno

a map of the region showing where you can take different types of clothing

practical advice and instructions on how to properly sort, pack, donate, or recycle textiles

a form/questionnaire in which users specify the condition and type of clothing, and the portal advises them where to find a suitable location in their area

texts and data on people’s habits in the region — similar to Prague, where a survey showed that some residents throw clothing into mixed waste or that a relatively low percentage donate to charity

Petr Hladík, Minister of the Environment, has granted the Ministry of the Environment’s patronage to the Obleč Brno project, which we are very pleased about and which confirms the importance of sustainable textile waste management.

We are delighted to be able to bring this successful project to Brno and look forward to sharing the first results with you. Every piece of clothing can change a story. Join us and help us give things and people a new chance.
