In just six weeks of operation, our Clothing Bank managed to distribute an incredible 10 tons of clothing to those in need. The largest portion of this aid (9 tons) was distributed through our collaboration with selected regional food banks and local non-profit organizations, while one ton of clothing was given directly to individuals at our Clothing Bank headquarters near Prague Zoo.
The results from the first month and a half of the Clothing Bank’s operation have exceeded our expectations. We see strong demand from people in need who welcome the clothing assistance, and there is also substantial interest from private and corporate donors. Every day, people from all over the country send us dozens of packages containing selected children’s, women’s, and men’s clothing. Large companies have also been fantastic in their participation, organizing significant employee clothing drives, which make up a substantial part of our material aid.
