In the first quarter of this year, we distributed 11 tons of clothing and sent 2,750 packages to collaborating food banks and local non-profit organizations. Out of the total amount, one ton was dedicated to direct aid, which we send to people in need across the Czech Republic and can also be picked up in person at our location.
Our Collaborations We have recently expanded our cooperation with the Food Bank of the Ústí Region, bringing the total number of food banks we work with to nine across the Czech Republic. Local organizations, both large and small, from all corners of the country are significant recipients of our material aid, ordering clothing for their clients. Additionally, we have expanded our collaboration with the Food Bank for Prague and Central Bohemia, allowing them to use our premises near Prague Zoo for regular weekly food distribution to people in need, creating a synergy in the aid we provide together.
Who We Help Our assistance is intended for all people in financial distress, for whom even buying second-hand clothing can be a significant expense they often cannot afford. We help single parents, seniors, people with disabilities, individuals, and entire families who are short on finances.
Who Donates Clothing to Us Through Zásilkovna, you have sent us nearly 2 tons of clothing. You can continue to send us clothing for free from anywhere. Every day, donors also stop by in person at our location in Troja, and we are sometimes amazed at how much they can fit into their cars. When we have a shortage of clothing, Potex rescues us by delivering orange bags they sort specifically for us. Employee drives are also a significant source for us. Last month, employees from Notino, Nestlé, Lidl, Eurowag, and Dock House collected clothing for us. New items from their assortment are donated to us every month by Husky and Pumax. The restaurant network Ambiente regularly provides us with meal vouchers.
