Today we had the opportunity to present the work of the Clothing Bank at a professional seminar focused on municipal waste management and legislative changes for 2026, organized by the Regional Development Agency of the Pilsen Region.
Our presentation included an overview of the Clothing Bank’s main activities as well as the newly planned project for the Regional Textile Center of the Karlovy Vary Region. The goal of the project is to create a functional regional infrastructure for the collection, sorting, and further processing of textiles throughout the entire region.
During the seminar, it was noted that the issue of textile waste will be among the key topics in the coming years, not only for municipalities and regions but also for the entire waste management system. In addition to complying with new legislative requirements, it is essential to establish a long-term sustainable model that integrates the environmental, logistical, and social dimensions of working with textiles.
We greatly appreciate the opportunity to be part of this expert discussion and thank the organizers for the invitation, as well as all participants for the substantive and inspiring debate.
