The Karlovy Vary Textile Center is entering its next phase. Following the installation of the first containers for used textiles, we are now launching regular pickups from partner cities and municipalities across the Karlovy Vary Region.
Residents can now use the containers at the following locations:
- Lomnice – recycling center, Hornická Street
- Nová Role – Tovární 1
- Otovice – Hroznětínská 130
- Cheb – recycling centers at Klášterní 276/6 and Karlova 2472/44
- Chodov – U porcelánky 212
- Aš – Hedvábnická 3021
- Toužim – recycling center, building no. 2843/5
- Lázně Kynžvart – Nádražní Street
Every bag or sack of textiles that people place in the container undergoes careful sorting. Clothing and other textiles that are still in good condition are given a chance at further use. Items that have served their purpose are sent for material recycling. Thanks to this, they do not end up unnecessarily in a landfill and can be utilized as efficiently as possible.
The Karlovy Vary Textile Center provides municipalities with a comprehensive service—from the delivery and placement of containers, through their regular collection, to the sorting and further processing of the collected textiles. Municipalities thus gain a reliable partner who takes care of the entire process.
The first participating municipalities are just the beginning. We are already in talks with other cities and municipalities about cooperation, and we will continue to expand the network of containers throughout the year. Our goal is to ensure that as many residents of the Karlovy Vary Region as possible have the opportunity to drop off used textiles.
We would like to thank all the municipalities for their trust and everyone who brings textiles to our collection bins. Every item donated is a step toward more responsible textile management and gives the material a chance at a new life.
