We continue to connect aid: we also cooperate with the Furniture Bank of the Liberec Region

The clothing bank has long strived to ensure that help for people in difficult life situations reaches them as quickly and efficiently as possible where it is needed. One of the important steps is therefore to connect organizations that help people secure the basic equipment for a dignified life. We have therefore recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Furniture Bank of the Liberec Region.

This cooperation builds on our existing partnership with the Furniture Bank of the Plzeň Region and is another step towards building a network of organizations that work together to help people in need.

The Furniture Bank of the Liberec Region has been operating since 2021 and has already helped thousands of people during its existence. By mid-2025, it had received more than 516 tons of material aid, which it then distributed among 6,383 people in difficult life situations. The aid is mainly provided to families with children, people who are moving from shelters or hostels to their own homes, or individuals who find themselves in difficult life situations.

In 2024 alone, for example, the bank distributed approximately 140 tons of furniture and household equipment and processed nearly 600 requests for assistance, supporting more than 2,000 people. The most commonly provided items include beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, but also appliances and basic household equipment.

While the Clothing Bank provides clothing through social services and non-profit organizations, furniture banks help people furnish their homes with furniture, appliances, and other equipment. It is precisely this combination of forms of assistance that is crucial for many families as they begin to rebuild a stable foundation.

We therefore see the signing of the memorandum with the Furniture Bank of the Liberec Region as another important step in connecting organizations that strive to provide comprehensive and accessible assistance across regions. We believe that sharing experiences and better coordinating assistance will make it possible to support even more people who are trying to get back on their feet.
